The SA series like this are some of Yamaha’s longest running and most revered models; sit still for five minutes around here and you’ll cop an earful about their many virtues. The natural finish on this one has aged to a sweet golden hue and is in remarkable condition for a 42+ year old instrument; it’s certainly something to behold. The tone is magic: a harmonically rich, open midrange completed by a warm rounded bass, a singing clear treble and a rhythmic, crystal clear attack.
